Just like the title says, I take a first look at the Optoma HD20. It boasts 1,700 lumens through a 1080p DLP chip producing a 4,000:1 contrast ratio. The bulb is said to last between three and four thousand hours before it will need to be changed which should save you some serious coin on lamps. Any way you cut this cake, it’s still the most delicious thing to come along into home theater projectors maybe ever. All this picture quality for $999, you really can’t complain.
